Samantha and Dejan’s a unique wedding in the forest of  Bohinjska Bistrica – Slovenia  – the outdoor wedding in the forest was definitely one of the most romantic and unique weddings that I have been part of as a photographer. Without extensive pomp and ceremony, Samantha, a Canadian and Dejan, a Slovenian exchanged their vows in Bohinjska Bistrica Forest, encircled by only their closest family members.

At first, it looked like it would rain, but mother nature surprised us all, and by the end, we had magical scenery, with sun rays shining on the cheeks of the loving couple.  Dejan is devoted to nature, so he arranged the magical setting in the heart of his own forest, the Bohinjska Bistrica, where he and his bride hosted a party for family members. The bride’s sister led a romantic ceremony under the treetops and was responsible for all the laughter and tears that arose during a show of pictures from the past, which awakened old memories and adventures from the happy couple’s childhood for so many guests.

With their intimate and uncomplicated wedding in the forest, Samantha and Dejan brought back the pure experience that comes from a love that is sincere and romantic – an experience we had all almost forgotten. With the rustle of leaves and the snaps of branches, Samantha and Dejan wedding in the forest gave me and all the romantic souls out there, a new perspective on the natural beauty that is Bohinjska Bistrica.
